Questions & Answers
We prioritize teachers who have a strong educational background, with many of our instructors coming from top-tier schools like Juilliard, Columbia, Berklee, and other renowned conservatories and universities. We also value teaching experience, passion for music education, and the ability to connect with students of all levels.
You can apply directly through our website by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your teaching experience and musical expertise. If selected, we will contact you for an initial interview.
The interview process typically includes an initial phone or video call followed by a teaching demonstration. During the demo, you’ll be asked to conduct a short lesson to assess your teaching style and how you engage with students.
While teaching experience is strongly preferred, we also consider applicants who demonstrate strong musical ability, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with students. We provide ongoing support and training to ensure that our teachers thrive.
If your interview is successful, we will invite you to a teaching demonstration and a final conversation with the team. Upon approval, you’ll receive an offer and begin the onboarding process, which includes training on our curriculum and teaching methodology.
Our teachers typically commit to a part-time teaching schedule based on availability and demand. We work closely with each teacher to create a schedule that balances their preferences with our students’ needs.
NOTE Music Lessons provides a comprehensive, play-based curriculum to guide your lessons. However, we encourage our teachers to tailor their approach to each student, adding their unique teaching style and creativity to the learning process.
